Description

Three performers play trumpets for Shakespeare - The Playwright held at Bankside Theatre in 1916. Several hundred spectators are seated on a bank of the English Coulee. The roofs of buildings at the UND Campus are visible in the background. The Bankside Theatre provided a stage for several spectacles including the Dakota Playmakers and the May Fete Production from 1914-1927.
