Abstract

This document, dated January 1980, is a comprehensive report based on an initial survey conducted by various departments of the North Dakota government. It is organized into three sections by color of page: Grafton State School in Canary, San Haven State Hospital in Pink, and the rules in White.   Each of the first two sections focuses on a specific facility and follows a consistent format. The first subsection outlines the relevant policies and laws, along with comments on the status of compliance. Next is the Fire Marshal's report, which assesses the safety of each building and identifies necessary measures to achieve compliance. This report is organized by building. Finally, the Electrical Inspection section details required wiring repairs and the capacity of different areas to prevent fire hazards.   The section on the Grafton State School was surveyed from January 7th to 11th and is based on the Standards for Immediate Care Facilities. This section comprises 36 pages. The inspection of the San Haven State Hospital took place from January 21st to 24th and is based on the Standards for Intermediate Care Facilities, covering 27 pages. The latter half of the document outlines rules and regulations for the buildings. This section is also divided into subsections. The first subsection addresses regulations for the design of Barrier-Free Facilities, although it is somewhat difficult to read due to being a scan of a scan. Following this is a substantial section on accessibility guidelines, as well as a section on resident rights and interpretative guidelines related to those rights. In total, this section spans approximately 64 pages.
