Artist Bio

Salvador Dali, who was born in Figueras, Spain, is well recognized as a proponent of Surrealism. In addition to his paintings, he was involved in sculpture, illustration, film making, writing, and other art forms. Dali's antics as a publicity-seeking showman often generated controversy. There are museums particularly focused on Dali's art in Figueras, Spain, and Saint Petersburg, Florida. Dali is best known for his representational Surrealist style.
