Description
In this letter, dated May 25, 1949, from United States Senator William Langer to Lieutenant General Clarence R. Huebner, Commanding General of the United States Army, Europe, Langer refers to the case of convicted Nazi war criminal Martin Sandberger, who is awaiting execution for his crimes. Langer writes that he is enclosing affidavits and documentation he has received from the Reverend T. W. Strieter of Our Savior Lutheran Church in Chicago, and requests that these documents be placed where they may be used in the consideration of Sandberger's case.
The documents mentioned as being enclosed with this letter was not found with the letter in Langer's papers.
