Description
In this letter, dated June 24, 1949, from United States Senator William Langer to General Clarence R. Huebner, Commanding General of the U.S. Army, Europe, Langer refers to the case of convicted Nazi war criminal Martin Sandberger, who is in prison awaiting execution.
Langer writes that he is enclosing additional materials attesting to Sandberger's innocence and notes that, like the materials he sent he has sent Huebner on May 25 and June 1, he received the enclosed documents from the Reverend T. W. Strieter of Our Savior Lutheran Church in Chicago.
The documents mentioned as enclosed were not found with this letter in Langer's papers.
