In this audiovisual recording from Tuesday, March 25, 2008, as part of the 39th Annual UND Writers Conference: “Revolutions,” Salman Rushdie reads excerpts from The Enchantress of Florence. Rushdie also responds to a number of questions ranging from issues surrounding The Satanic Verses to what literature has influenced his work to when he met Madonna, among others. “A Great Conversation with Salman Rushdie” was also one of the first events for UND’s 125th Anniversary Celebration.
