Description
This publication consists of the text of radio address delivered in 1947 by Dr. Elwyn Robinson on KFJM, the public radio station at the University of North Dakota.
The "Heroes of Dakota" were: La Verendrye, fur trader and explorer; Alexander Henry, fur trader; Meriwether Lewis and William Clark, explorers; the Earl of Selkirk, founder of the Red River Colony in Canada; George Catlin, artist; Sitting Bull, Hunkpapa Lakota leader; James J. Hill, business leader; Marquis de Mores, frontier rancher in Medora, Dakota Territory; and Theodore Roosevelt, President of the United States.
