Artist Bio
SHOCK UC MSK is a Minneapolis-based multidisciplinary artist whose work spans graffiti, painting, sculpture, printmaking, and installation. Raised in St. Paul, Minnesota, SHOCK began experimenting with graffiti at age thirteen and helped establish the UC graffiti crew during his teenage years. He later joined the internationally recognized MSK crew. His work combines the visual language of graffiti with abstraction, expressive mark-making, and unconventional materials. SHOCK frequently incorporates salvaged industrial objects into his paintings and sculptures, exploring themes of movement, memory, and urban environments. In 2023, he established an independent artist residency at the abandoned Pillsbury Mill in Springfield, Illinois, where he developed a series of mixed-media works. His artwork has been exhibited nationally, including at the North Dakota Museum of Art.
