Artist Bio
Nadezda Stupina (b. 1967, Oryol, Russia) is a Russian artist, now based in Norway, known for vividly colored, atmospheric works spanning dreamlike landscapes, floral still lifes, and portraits. She trained from childhood at a district art school before continuing at an art college and the Faculty of Applied Arts at the Textile Academy, grounding her work in both academic technique and a decorative, applied-arts sensibility. Working across oil, acrylic, pastel, and unconventional supports such as cardboard, plexiglass, and denim, she creates richly textured pieces intended to provoke joy in the viewer.
