Artist Bio

Sergei Chernyakovsky is a contemporary Ukrainian painter from Odesa. His luminous landscapes and coastal scenes blend realism with impressionistic techniques. He studied painting and graphics at the South Ukrainian National Pedagogical University named after K. D. Ushinsky from 2011 to 2016 and has exhibited widely throughout Ukraine and Europe since 2017. He primarily works in oil and is known for expressive brushwork and a strong focus on light, atmosphere, and the emotional experience of the natural world. His paintings have been featured in numerous solo and group exhibitions and are held in private collections internationally.

Additional Information

A painting depicting koi fish swimming through calm water, rendered in turquoise, orange, and red, with the fish partially obscured by the water's surface. The koi are a traditional symbol of perseverance and overcoming obstacles.
