Artist Bio
Judy Onofrio is a Minnesota sculptor whose six-decade career has explored a wide range of materials and themes. She began working primarily in clay before creating large-scale sculptural installations and later became known for colorful, embellished figurative works depicting women, gardens, and circus imagery. Following a serious illness in 2008, her work shifted to themes of mortality, healing, and renewal, incorporating animal bones into her sculptures. In recent years, she has returned to vibrant color and imagery inspired by nature, including flowers, birds, fish, and fruit. Her work reflects a continued interest in transformation, resilience, and joy.
