Artist Bio
Brad Bachmeier is a ceramic artist, educator, and sculptor from Anamoose, North Dakota. He earned his Master of Fine Arts in Ceramics from the University of North Dakota in 2007 and currently serves as Chair of the School of Art, Professor of Art Education, and Art Therapy Program Coordinator at Minnesota State University Moorhead. Bachmeier is known for his wheel-thrown ceramics, primitive vessel forms, and large-scale brick sculptures that explore humanity's long relationship with clay and the natural world. His work has received numerous national and regional awards and is held in collections including the North Dakota Museum of Art, Plains Art Museum, the South Dakota Art Museum, Microsoft, and the White House.
