Additional Information
Prairie Surrealism:
In Bottle with Iceberg, two worlds collapse into one quietly unsettling image: a plastic water bottle, rendered with almost clinical precision, balanced against a receding glacier in vivid blue and green. The juxtaposition is surreal in the truest sense - not fantastical, but deeply strange in the way only the familiar can be when seen clearly. A glacier and a bottle share the same water, separated by centuries and consequence. This is the spirit of discovery this art collection seeks to honor: the capacity to look at what surrounds us and find in it questions worth asking. This work reminds us that scholarship, like surrealism, begins with seeing the world as it actually is.
