"I began painting in December 2020 during a period of personal and professional transition. Amid the uncertainty of the pandemic and a series of job rejections, I found myself turning inward—seeking clarity and purpose through prayer. With a background rooted in military and corporate environments and as a doctoral student, I never anticipated that art would become such a profound part of my journey. Yet it was through this unexpected creative path that I discovered a deeper calling—one that offered both reflection and renewal.
My work is inspired by the spaces where life unfolds—porches, farmsteads, gardens, and small-town streets. I’m drawn to the lived energy of structures that hold stories, pride, and purpose. Whether it’s the quiet dignity of a family farm or the bold color of a blooming yard, I seek to capture the hope, strength, and creativity that shape the everyday landscapes of our communities. Especially in the places I know and love, I aim to reflect the beauty and resilience that often go unseen."
