Artist Bio
Highly regarded as both a painter and a printmaker, Elizabeth Murray is one of only five female artists honored with a retrespective exhitibion at the Musuem of Modern Art in New York (Helen Frankenthaler is another). Murray’s unique style combines abstraction and figuration, often in vibrant, playful compositions like We Meet Again. The College Art Association honored her in2006 with the Distinguished Artist Award for Lifetime Achievement, citing her significance as a melntor to a generation of female artists.
