Artist Bio
Lauren Ann Bennett received her BFA in Printmaking from the Hartford School of Art at the University of Hartford, Connecticut, in 2005. She also earned her MFA from the University of Massachusetts Amherst, Massachusetts, in 2016. Bennet worked as an art instructor in 2009 in the Department of Art at Smith College in Northampton, Massachusetts, then later worked as a teaching assistant in the Department of Art at the University of Massachusetts Amherst between 2013 – 2016. Bennet lives in the Pioneer Valley of Western Massachusetts and continues to create art by interweaving digital, photographic, printmaking, and painting based art styles into mixed media pieces.

A lake and trees at sunrise. Work is orange, yellow, and brown.
The competition was developed in 2005 by Professor Kim Fink to bring attention to college-level printmaking programs.
