Artist Bio
Pirjo Berg earned her MA in Regional Planning in 1991 and her BFA in Painting in 2000, both from the School of Art and Media in Tampere, Finland. Berg then moved to Seattle, Washington, and established her own studio practice in that same year. She later graduated from the Artists Trust EDGE-Program in 2005. Born in Helsinki, Finland, Berg now resides in Grand Forks, North Dakota where she continues to create art. Berg’s main art forms are clay, oil paint, and watercolors. Her work often reflects the inspiration of geological formations.
