Artist Bio

Alyce June Burkholder attended Ohio State University and studied at the Fontainebleau School of Fine Arts in France where she studied under Jacques Villon. Burkholder taught art in Lafayette, Indianapolis, and Chicago. She also illustrated a series of plant diseases for Purdue University’s botany department. Burkholder’s main art style was painting, creating many floral and still life works in oil.
