Artist Bio
Madelyne Roeder Camrud was born and raised in North Dakota. She obtained degrees in visual arts and creative writing from UND and later taught English at UND before accepting a position at the North Dakota Museum of Art as the director of Audience Development. Alongside her art, Camrud is also well-known for her written poetry. Camrud’s main art form is painting.
Additional Information
Madelyn Camrud is a long-time Grand Forks resident, poet, and artist. She is also an avid supporter of the fine arts.
Her use of surface texture in this work stimulates the viewer's senses and brings literalness to her representation of the beach.
