Artist Bio
Paul Edward Beem was a painter, designer, illustrator, sculptor, and writer. He studied at the Herron School of Art in Indianapolis and the Art Institute of Chicago. In 1930, Beem moved to California, where he turned down opportunities to work for Disney Studios, preferring to remain as a painter. The composition of Beem's still-life pinging was influenced by the much easier work of French Post Impressionist Paul Cezanne (1839-1906).
