Abstract
Hormonal regulation of gluconeogenesis and glycogenolysis was studied in hepatocytes isolated from 48 hr fasted rabbits. We found that these hepatocytes convert a variety of substrates into glucose at the following rates ((mu)mol glucose formed/30 min/10('8) cells): alanine, 2.24 (+OR-) 0.50;
