Abstract
This study was undertaken for the purpose of determining the needs for offE;ring a building trades course in the Grand Forks senior high schools, Grand Forks, North Dakota. The following information was ascertained to detennine the feasibility for such a program: (1) the employment opportunities in the building trades field--both locally and nationally, (2) the student interest in such courses, (3) the support given by local building trades firms for such a program (4) the building trades skills that should be stressed, (5) the sources presently used by local building trades employers for obtaining skilled laborers, and (6) to state reconnnendations for the design of a building trades program.
