Abstract
A general overview of the development of an Annual Cycle Energy System is discussed. System selection criteria is also presented. The development of a modification procedure for a commercially available reversing heat pump to a series dual evaporator, heating-only heat pump is discussed. The procedure is presented as a step by step method for sizing the components in the system. The procedure was used to size the components in the modification of a Janitorial five ton reversing heat pump.
Assemble the series dual evaporator system according to the design specifications once the components that were sent for come in, Test the system to obtain its operating characteristics to see how they compare with the analytical and imperical design assumptions. These are the major areas in which future action must take place in order to complete this project
