Abstract

This study was conducted to develop a vertical axis wind energy conversion system that would be applicable to an educational environment. It was undertaken in response to the increased use of wind energy and the advancement of wind energy technology. This system would provide educators with a physical model to assist in conveying the concept of converting the kinetic energy of the wind into a usable form.
