Abstract
Breastfeeding has many benefits for infants. It provides nutrients and antibodies that protect them from getting ill. Breastfeeding also has benefits for children as they grow older such as decreasing their risk of becoming obese. This paper will look at current research about how breastfeeding especially for at least six months can reduce a child's risk of becoming obese later in life.
