Abstract
In today's cost conscious environment, efficient anesthesia care and dmg administration is a valuable concept. A significant problem in hospital operating rooms is the inefficient use of anesthesia drugs. Medication waste can cost the department or hospital thousands of dollars in unrecognized expenses. The purpose of this independent study was to conduct a comprehensive review of current literature on dmg use efficiency. The clinical question was "what is the evidence for the best method of decreasing anesthesia drug waste?" The final result is a Power Point presentation aimed at raising awareness on the impo11ance of efficient drug use for Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetists as well as Student Registered Nurse Anesthetists at North Dakota's state meeting
