Abstract
Radioactivity properties of many substances make radioactivity well logging possible. The Gamma Ray Curve records natural radiation; the Neutron Curve records induced radiation. In general the Gamma Ray Curve records formation types while the Neutron Curve records fluid content of the rocks. The Radioactivity Logs are recorded on continuous roll graph paper by an automatic pen recorder. The laboratory-developed Neutron Curve correction charts presented are an aid in accurate interpretation of well logs. Besides recording well logs, the Radioactivity Log is useful in solving many of the problems connected with petroleum work.
