Abstract
Musical training is often associated with growth artistically, however its influence reaches beyond artistry into further advancement of cognitive development. This paper explores the extent of the benefits that learning to play an instrument can have on a child’s developing mind through various executive functioning, attention control, memory processing, and language based skills.
