University of North Dakota Theatre Arts opens its 2014-15 season with Samuel Beckett's modern classic, Waiting for Godot. Two charming bums wait for the mysterious Godot on a roadside by a tree in the hope that he will explain the meaning of their lives. They fill the time with well-worn comic routines, poetic word play and complaints about their aches and pains. Their situation improves when two strangers, Pozzo and Lucky, wander into their lives and help them pass the time. In spite of the apparent meaninglessness of their lives, the two old friends remain always hopeful and find great comfort in their companionship.
