About the production:

What’s life without a little birdseed soup? Or rabbit heads with a squirt of lemon, for that matter? Described by the PortlandStage Theatre of Maine as part commedia dell’arte and part Honeymooners, Dario Fo has created a modern tale that transcends both country and time period. It is a story of two couples fighting to make ends meet, and who will go to hilarious extremes to get them to meet – no matter who they may run up against! They Don’t Pay? We Won’t Pay! is a satirical comedy that will make you laugh and make you think. Performed by the students of UND’s Theatre Arts Department, They Don’t Pay? We Won’t Pay! marks the opening of our 2016/2017 production season and the directorial debut in our department of Dr. Ljubisa Matic. Please join us in the Burtness Laboratory Theatre September 27 through October 1 at 7:30 pm nightly.
