Abstract

The Marketing Department was pleased to welcome Alumna, Jana Rewey to campus this spring as an Executive-in-Residence. During Rewey’s time on campus she visited a variety of marketing and MBA classes as well as provided one on one sessions with students in the Pancratz Career Development Center.

“When I graduated I didn’t know what jobs were out there within the marketing discipline,” says Rewey.

During her visits with students Rewey was able to review student resumes, provide advice on different paths they could take, and help navigate their next steps. She spoke to eight different classes on a variety of topics to include B2B social media strategies, to practical applications of marketing research.

Rewey is currently an Account Director at Primer 180 in Minneapolis, MN. She has previously worked with Unilever (Dover Real Beauty campaign), Time Publications, Hershey, ConAgra, McCormick, Dairy Farmers of America, and Zippo.

Being back on campus now 11 years later, Rewey was glad that she could help provide some insights for students that are in the same shoes she was and felt like she was back at home while on campus.
