Abstract

Saleh Faruque, associate professor of electrical engineering , has authored Radio Frequency Source Coding Made Easy , published by Springer in July 2015.

A fingertip reference for engineers and students in wireless communications, the book introduces radio frequency source coding to a broad audience. Faruque blends theory and practice to update readers on key concepts, underlying principles and practical applications of wireless communications. The presentation is designed to be easily accessible, minimizing mathematics and maximizing visuals.

Faruque, a native of Bangladesh, has been with UND’s College of Engineering & Mines since 2002. He has been the recipient of the prestigious U.S. Fulbright scholarship, and currently teaches undergraduate and graduate courses via traditional and distance-learning means. His current research addresses challenges presented by the rapid growth of wireless communication use.
