Description

Vice-President Richard Nixon waves to students outside a Grand Forks school on September 14, 1960. Nixon visited UND during the 1960 presidential campaign and spoke at the UND Fieldhouse. Nixon remarked that "Students should remember that the battle for peace and freedom will be won if America maintains its moral and spiritual strength" to a crowd of almost 8,500.
