Description

Four supporters from Moorhead, Minnesota, of Vice-President Richard Nixon cheer during his visit to the UND Fieldhouse on September 14, 1960. A sign reading "Moorhead for Nixon" is prominently displayed. Nixon visited UND during the 1960 presidential campaign and spoke at the UND Fieldhouse. Nixon remarked that "Students should remember that the battle for peace and freedom will be won if America maintains its moral and spiritual strength" to a crowd of almost 8,500.
