The son of Representative Usher Burdick, Quentin Burdick represented North Dakota in the United States House of Representatives from 1958 to 1960 and in the United States Senate from 1960 until his death in 1992. Jennifer was the daughter of Quentin and Marietta (Janecky) Burdick.
Herb Alpert was a prominent and well known musician and trumpet player.
