Description
Speaker of the House Oscar Solberg (right) extends a hand to greet former Senator Clark Van Horn (left) at the door of the State Capitol in Bismarck in 1977. Van Horn served in the Senate from 1969 to 1966 and again from 1969 until 1972. Solberg was the Speaker of the North Dakota House of Representatives in 1977 and served in that body from 1949 to 1956 and from 1959 until 1986.
