An undated photograph of State Senator Evan Lips from Bismarck. An alumni of the University of North Dakota, Lips was an All-American athlete in football and was a member of the UND Athletic Hall of Fame. He was first elected to the State Senate in 1960 and did not seek re-election in 1998.
