    Description

    Arthur Sorlie was elected Governor of North Dakota in 1924. He died in office in 1928, after which his body lay in state in the Rotunda at the State Capitol. The Sorlie Bridge on DeMers Avenue between Grand Forks, North Dakota, and East Grand Forks, Minnesota, was dedicated in his honor in 1929.
