Artist Bio

Ken Greywind, of Devils Lake, ND, received his MFA from the University of North Dakota. His art has been displayed in numerous exhibitions, including his solo show at the Sioux Indian Museum in Rapid City, SD. He was recognized for his painted murals at Four Winds High School in Fort Totten, and for teaching at Cankdeska Cikana (Little Hoop) Community College.

Greywind's artwork on combines a traditional subject and a modern aesthetic, perhaps alluding to the continuing importance of Native heritage in the contemporary world.

Additional Information

An underwater scene with wrenches floating in a manner mimicking fish. There is a piece of pottery on the ocean floor next to what looks like a black and white checked floor peeking out from under the sand.
