Description
This letter, dated October 7, 1949, from United States (US) Senator William Langer to Ben Reifel, Superintendent of the Fort Berthold Reservation of North Dakota, makes reference to an earlier letter Langer sent Reifel regarding additional funds Langer was able to secure for North Dakota tribes. In the current letter, Langer gives a breakdown of the additional funding distributed to the Fort Berthold Agency for Health, Education and Welfare on the Fort Berthold Reservation.
In addition to this breakdown, Langer also includes as an attachment a report he received from John H. Provinse, Assistant Commissioner of the US Bureau of Indian Affairs, that includes a breakdown of funds distributed to other reservations in the state.
