Description
This letter dated May 18, 1955, from United States (US) Senator William Langer to Glenn Emmons, Commissioner of the US Bureau of Indian Affairs, includes an enclosed statement of justification for a proposed $200,000,000 appropriation "for the American Indians."
Langer writes that a detailed report on hearings held throughout the country will soon be prepared, and he asks Emmons "go into this carefully because of the great need of assistance."
