Description
This letter dated April 18, 1950, from United States Senator William Langer to Commissioner of the Indian Bureau John R. Nichols asks Nichols to respond to Executive Director of North Dakota Indian Affairs John B. Hart’s March 27, 1950, telegram. The letter quotes Hart’s telegram which inquires “definitive information by wire to prevent Indian Bureau plans on purchasing land outside present boundaries of Fort Berthold Reservation.” The letter states that Langer would appreciate Nichols to have this matter taken care of at Nichols’s earliest convenience.
