Description
This letter dated April 18, 1950, from United States (US) Senator William Langer to John R. Nichols, Commissioner of the US Bureau of Indian Affairs, asks Nichols to respond to Executive Director of North Dakota Indian Affairs John B. Hart’s March 27, 1950, telegram. Langer quotes Hart’s telegram, which requests “definitive information by wire as to present Indian Bureau plans on purchasing land outside present boundaries of Fort Berthold Reservation[.]”
