Matthew Anderson completed his MFA in Visual Arts degree at UND in 2009. The following year, he was the recipient of the Graduate School’s Creative Exhibition Award. In the artist statement for his MFA exhibition, Anderson says his art “explores the follies of human activity and the enduring presence of the natural world.” Interestingly, Anderson’s apocalyptic imagery is expressed through his use of digital media.
