Artist Bio

Sallie Bowen, who currently lives in Butte, Montana, received a BA in Art History from Lake Forest College, Illinois. She then went on to study painting at the Art Institute of Chicago. Relocating to Montana, she completed a Master's degree in Education at the University of Montana-Billings and also continued her studies in studio art.

Additional Information

The agricultural subject of Bowen’s watercolor involves a group of children at a Hutterite colony located in Montana. To provide for their families, Hutterite’s farm, raise livestock, and manufacture articles for sale.
