Abstract
Oral history interview with Pat Martin of the U.S. Army during the Korean War. Martin was captured by the North Korean Army during the aftermath of the Hadong Ambush on July 27, 1950. Martin was marched throughout the Chinju Valley before he and prisoner of war escaped at night. They made their way south until they crossed American lines.
Lawrence Patrick Martin was born on 22 February 1930 in Munich, North Dakota. He graduated from Munich High School in 1948. He died on 7 May 2000 and is buried in Devils Lake, North Dakota.
