Artist Bio
Alberto Magnelli is an Italian artist who was born in 1888 in Florence. Magnelli was a self taught artist with the influences of Italy's Renaissance treasures that surrounded him. He is best known for his approach to abstract painting and involvement in the concrete art movement. Works by Alberto Magnelli can be found in the permanent collections of the National Gallery of Modern and Contemporary Art, the Modern Art Museum, and several others.
