Artist Bio
Antonio Casanova was 19th century painter born in 1847 in Tortosa, Spain. He is best known for his romantic depictions of everyday life, as well as depictions of mischievous, plump and rosy-cheeked monks, cardinals and clergymen. The clergymen in his portraits can be described as relishing in their earthly delights of their lifestyles in the church.
