Artist Bio
Francesco Rosselli was an Italian artist born in 1445 in Florence. Rosselli was influenced by the styles of the paintings done by Sandro Botticelli. He is best known for his work as an old master of prints, a miniature painter and a cartographer who was the first tp create a printed map of the world that included the Americas. Works by Francesco Rosselli can be found in the permanent collections of the Metropolitan Museum of Art, the Vatican Library, the National Maritime Museum, the Art Institute of Chicago and many others internationally.
