Artist Bio
Henry J. Phair was a Canadian artist who was active in the 19th century. He specialized in painting detailed watercolor landscapes of his home country, Canada. Often times his depictions involved a body of water, such as the South West Miramichi River in New Brunswick, with canoes gliding over the top.
Additional Information
Found in envelope written on it was, “ 1884 some of Mr. Phair’s work.” Written on the back of the piece itself, “done by cousin J. Henry Phair, 1884.”
